Community & Justice Services
This program will prepare you for a rewarding and challenging career working with youth and adults in crisis. You will gain a working knowledge of the law, criminology, victimology and human behaviour. Benefit from practical workshops, industry tours and visits, and an integrated field placement component. The comprehensive community and justice training will give you the skills you need to work in the fields of youth justice, restorative justice and adult corrections.
Program Prerequisites
OSSD or equivalent, Grade 12 Compulsory English (ENG4C or ENG4U)
Other Requirements
A completed Canadore College Health Centre form including medical history, immunization record, Hepatitis B vaccination, and a two-step Tuberculosis (TB) test is required. Please see the online student registration handbook for more information.

Students are required to complete a 240-hour field placement component (six-weeks) related to the field of Community and Justice Services. The program coordinator will secure and supervise placements for students based on interest and career choice. Students can express interest in a placement anywhere in Canada.
